The Hawthorn Inn is an elegant, Queen Anne-style Victorian mansion situated on 1.2 acres of lawn and beautiful gardens just north of Camden Village and steps from Camden Harbor. One of 66 homes listed in the National Register of Historical Places in the High Street Historic District, the Hawthorn was built in 1894 and is a proud member of Select Registry, Distinguished Inns of North America.

The Inn offers spacious accommodations with beautiful décor, Jacuzzis, soaking tubs, gas fireplaces, private decks, seasonal views of the Harbor from most rooms. Guests experience the romance of this elegant retreat in pampered luxury–sumptuous linens, robes and room appointments. They love to savor the Inn’s renowned gourmet breakfasts on the terrace and decks in summer and in the sunny dining room or cozy library in winter.

The Hawthorn has a reputation for its warm and welcoming atmosphere, offering the perfect balance in comfort and sophistication. Attention to detail in décor and guests needs is in abundance at the Inn.

With just a short walk to town and the Harbor steps away from the back gate, the Hawthorn offers a peaceful oasis close to the Village and a beautiful venue for weddings, commitment ceremonies, family reunions and corporate retreats.

The Inn strives to be a Green Inn, serves local and organic foods, and uses environmentally sustainable products wherever possible. The Inn is a business member of Maine Organic Farmers Association, and a designated environmental leader in the state of Maine.
